I had the privilege of living alongside Douglas for 6 years, and not just hearing his poems: I saw him composing them. I breathed the air that motivates him, suffered the conflicts of his society.
What, for some, is failure, for others is fuel, and for still others, it is both failure and fuel! To hell with conventions… For the artist, everything is art.
