This guy is obscure to me.
I was at a Sebus. Do you know what that is?
It was a place that sold old books and records for enthusiasts.
If someone couldn’t import a desired record from a label’s catalog, they would go to Sebus.
It was a pure treasure-hunting activity. People went into Sebus without knowing what they would find.
And one day, at a Sebus in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, I found Ed Motta, rummaging through the rare records there.
I had played a little saxophone, and in Brazil, there were no options; the closest thing to jazz was his music.
