Guns and Roses are the last great ones in rock.

Clearly, they are not the last. However, they are the last great ones.

And there are still bigger bands that are active. But they are not releasing new material.

The space left by the absence of new material from new bands is what keeps the old ones active.

However, Guns and Roses, in addition to being the last greats chronologically, are in their 60s, and they have new material.

This chronological issue is important. The example of Deep Purple serves to show how a band can continue to insist despite being diminished.

It's the same problem with the Brazilian band Nação Zumbi: they are still active, but with the serious absence of the original vocalist, they are not even a shadow of what they used to be.

Guns and Roses did not keep all of their original members intact. However, each of them remained active, producing quality works individually.

The return of the original lineup is a dream come true for those who followed the solo careers of each of them.

And the new work is the result of these individually developed works.
