I have met many models. Photographic models and runway models. And shortly after entering this business, I realized that a beautiful girl's personality is not always as beautiful.

That's why I quickly lost interest in meeting models in person. I was one of those professionals they loved, in front of whom they undressed, and I didn't care. The kind that doesn't get fascinated.

Then the next generation got it into their heads that models like to be treated badly... But that's not it. The thing is, I simply wasn’t drooling over them. That's what they didn't like. My job was about images.

Images were my raw material. I didn’t care about the models, but I would fall in love with certain images (not in the way a man falls in love with a woman, of course).

Sometimes, I would fall for a single photo and forget the others. Sometimes, for a detail in the photo, I would forget the rest of it. Images were like paintings with excellent references—namely, the models and the setting.

Women age, many do not age well, many go through difficult times and long periods of bad moods due to bad bets, gain weight, etc... But images are eternal. There are models I make a point of never seeing again.

This model—I worked on her photos, I created paintings, and in my mind, she will always be this image.
