**3. EDITING FOR OFF-SET,
TEXTILE, AND FLEXOGRAPHY**

**Skills:**

- Adobe Photoshop, professionally, since version 2.0 (1995).
- Open-source applications Gimp 2.10 and Krita for bitmap editing.
- Color separation for synthetic fabrics.
- Photo correction for fashion catalogs.
- Pattern design for textile rotary printing.
- Image editing for flexography.
- Off-set bitmaps for large formats.
- 3D model texturing.

**Commentary:**

Adobe applications are the only ones that have not yet been completely replaced in the world of open-source software. These are either the earliest digital programs or programs that integrated other essential software. This issue is important because the industry shows no signs of changing its technical standards, which are based on these programs.

One advantage of the courses I taught on this subject is that I have followed the development of Adobe software from its earliest versions and the initial challenges of the digital industry. With thirty years of experience in technical design and professional drawing, starting with design boards, I participated in the transition from a mechanical-analog industry to an electronic-digital industry.

Among the contributions I’ve made to the textile industry is the process of color separation for complex bitmaps, especially useful in flexography and textile rotary printing. Another significant contribution is the table for the relationship between screen rulings and mesh degrees, which helps eliminate the Moiré effect.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that my practice took place during a time when the industry was functioning optimally, during the 20 years of government by the Workers' Party. Today, in Brazil, it is impossible for a university student to do their career practice with quality in an industry that relies on oligarchic processes of influence.

In your country, I wish to contribute to local solutions for the technology known as expanded gamut printing, particularly important for the textile industry in synthetic fabrics and flexography solutions. This way, I aim to sell industrial technology rather than importing it.
