I was walking through the outskirts of Santiago, Chile, and passed by a small market stall, one of those by a traffic light.




The vendor was very friendly, and he liked Brazilians. He gave me some tunas, the fruit of the local cacti. This is not the tuna fish, which is called "tuna" in many countries.




So I decided to help him. I made some ads for him to send via WhatsApp and taught him how to send promotions. Later, when I went back, he had become a WhatsApp fanatic.




He came up with his own promotion texts, in his own way, with his own vocabulary. But it worked. I found it really cool that such a simple person could understand and master this kind of sales technique.
