**Comment:**
Embroidery is an important topic for the Western textile industry because it urgently seeks innovation. It is a complex process because embroidery is expensive, the West is in an economic crisis, and Western countries do not have a strong tradition in this textile technique.
My learning of computerized embroidery took place through a course I requested within the textile industry. At that time, there were not enough interested individuals to sustain a regular course in a formal school.
When I tried the Chinese software RichPeace Embroidery, I found it was based on Wilcom Studio, with which I have extensive experience.
